MoPollCo Projects

Missouri Pollinators Council (MoPollCo) works to restore native ecosystems, support pollinators, and engage the community through education and hands-on sustainability projects.

Ongoing Projects

Pollinator Patches
We are installing native plant gardens in schools and public spaces to provide habitat for pollinators and serve as community learning sites.

Invasive Species Removal
We are actively identifying and removing harmful invasive plants, including Japanese kudzu and callery pear, that disrupt Missouri’s natural ecosystems.

Handmade Native Seed Goods
We create and sell clay and paper products embedded with native Missouri wildflower seeds to support habitat restoration and raise funds for MoPollCo.

Recycled Paper Making
We produce handmade seed paper from recycled materials to promote sustainability and provide educational opportunities about zero-waste practices.

Bug Water Stations
We design and distribute small water station kits to help individuals provide safe hydration spots for bees and butterflies in their yards.

Community Education
We host workshops, school activities, and public events to educate the community about pollinators, native planting, invasive species, and conservation.

Upcoming Projects

Roadside Rainshed Plantings
We are coordinating with MoDOT to explore planting native wildflowers in bioswales and roadside strips to support stormwater management and pollinators.

Community Garden Partnerships
We are working to bring native gardens to apartment complexes and shared green spaces through partnerships with local property managers and residents.

Public Workshops: Handmade Paper & Seed Goods
We will be launching events to teach recycled paper making and seed bomb crafting while educating attendees about native species and sustainability.

Educational Program Launch
We are developing lesson plans and presentations to bring pollinator and habitat education to local schools, homeschool groups, and community centers.

MoPollCo Etsy Storefront
We are preparing to launch an Etsy shop to sell our handmade seed goods and expand our reach while raising funds for future projects.

Butterfly Farm & Migration Stations
We are exploring the creation of a butterfly habitat to support monarch migration and serve as an interactive educational space for the public.
