About Us

Working Hand in Hand with Nature for a Sustainable Future

Missouri Pollinators Council brings together everyday people who want to protect pollinators and restore balance to the land. Whether it’s planting native wildflowers, removing invasive plants like kudzu, or creating water stations for bees, our mission is rooted in direct action and education.

We believe conservation starts close to home and grows stronger when we work together.

Our Story

MoPollCo was founded by community members who were tired of watching Missouri’s wild spaces disappear under concrete, invasive species, and neglect. What started as a local pollinator garden effort has grown into a hands-on movement for restoration, education, and environmental equity one native plant and one clean green space at a time.

Our work is local, but our vision is systemic: a Missouri where pollinators thrive, native species return, and every yard, school, park, and roadside can be part of the solution.

What We Do

Restore Native Habitat

We fight invasive plants like kudzu and callery pear, and replace them with Missouri-native wildflowers, grasses, and trees that support pollinators and biodiversity.

Educate and Inspire

Through booths, school partnerships, art projects, and hands-on workshops, we teach people how to protect pollinators and restore ecosystems — starting right where they live.

Create Handmade Eco-Goods

Our volunteers and artists make seed paper, wildflower bombs, recycled crafts, and conservation-themed art to raise funds and promote sustainable practices.

Support Community Projects

We help Missourians pitch native garden ideas, build pollinator beds, and launch local restoration efforts across schools, apartments, parks, and neighborhoods.

What We Believe

  • Every space has potential — balconies, medians, schoolyards, vacant lots.
  • Everyone has something to offer — time, creativity, sweat, support.
  • Pollinators and native plants are essential — not optional.
  • A more resilient Missouri is possible — and it starts with us.

Who We are

At Missouri Pollinators Council (MoPollCo), we believe that protecting native species starts in our own backyards. We’re a community-powered nonprofit focused on restoring native habitats, removing invasive species, and inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards.

From schoolyard pollinator patches to statewide education, we work hand-in-hand with neighbors, students, and volunteers to create lasting change.
